Every kid
deserves a
fair shot.
Equality at the Plate is a Colorado-based foundation working to address racial and socioeconomic inequality in baseball. If you need support to keep playing — or you want to help kids who do — start here.
How this works
Two ways
to start here.
This foundation exists to connect kids who need support with the people and resources that can help. Whichever side of the gap you're on — start here.
For families & players
Need a glove?
A league fee?
If you're a player or family who needs equipment, league fees, coaching, or any other support to keep playing baseball — apply for help. No application is too small, and the process is dignified and private.

Want to
help out?
Donate funds. Host an equipment drive at your school, team, or workplace. Volunteer to coach a clinic. Every dollar, every glove, and every hour ends up with a kid who needs it.

Built by a player.
For players.
The Equality at the Plate Foundation is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit working to address racial inequality in youth baseball through equipment donations, scholarships, access to coaching and facilities, and connecting people who have a passion for giving underprivileged kids a chance to play ball.
We believe money or race should not be a reason not to play baseball — the only reason not to play is that you don't like playing it.

How we can help
Three ways
we close the gap.
A glove runs $80. Cleats, $60. League fees, hundreds. The foundation collects and distributes funds and equipment to help low-income and minority kids have equal opportunities to learn, play, and succeed in the game.
Equipment
Gloves, bats, cleats, helmets, and catcher's gear collected from communities with surplus and routed to players who need it.

Our mission
Addressing racial and socioeconomic inequality in baseball, one player at a time.
"The difference between a kid who plays and a kid who doesn't is sometimes just a glove. We exist to close that gap.
